March 26, 2007 Fayetteville State University qualified 15 performers in the running of the 16th Annual Leroy T. Walker Invitational Track and Field meet in Durham, North Carolina. Senior Darryl Barnett, competing in the long jump, and freshman Edward Graham, throwing the shot put and discus; had the best showings. Barnett was fourth in his event with a 6.76m leap and Graham threw the shot put 11.49m, good for fourth place. Graham also had a fifth-place finish in the discus throw with a toss of 31.09m. In the triple jump, Lucius McCravin was seventh with a leap of 13.23 m. Teams participating in the track and field events included North Carolina Central University, Shaw University, Saint Augustine's College, Saint Paul's College, Livingstone College, Johnson C. Smith University and the University of the District of Columbia. Other Fayetteville State's top performers: Bobby Wilder, 100 meter dash. He ran the distance in 11.03 good for sixth place.
