Results

Charlotte, NC - Fayetteville State University posted a 3-0 record in the first day action of the CIAA Volleyball Championship and advanced to Friday's semi-finals at 7:00 pm at the Grady Cole Center.

FSU played 10 games, losing only one game en route to their wins over Saint Paul's College (3-0), Livingstone College (3-0) and Virginia State University (3-1).

In the Virginia State match, the Lady Broncos team leader in kills, middle blocker Chekimbrell Jefferson had 23 kills, equaling her season high, and six total blocks. Freshman Samantha Meeks added 14 kills and 15 digs, while teammate and CIAA all-rookie team selection Achari Mainor had 47 assists.

The Lady Broncos will entertain the Eastern Division Champion, Elizabeth City State University on Friday in the second semi-finals match of the day at 7:00pm. Matches will be held at the Grady Cole Center. A complete list of Thursday results is as follows:
